Chew On This Tasty Tours Wins Spark Award from Tourism Innovation Lab

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you: Chew On This Tasty Tours is an award recipient for a new tourism concept. The Spark Award from Tourism Innovation Lab an organization is a non-profit initiative that supports new tourism ideas and innovators in Canada.

The Spark Award is a mentorship and grant program that helps entrepreneurs launch or grow their tourism businesses. We applied for the award with our idea of creating a new chef’s table experience that showcases local chefs.  Our guests have a unique and memorable dining experience that connects them with the chefs and their stories.

 

What does the Spark Award offer?

We are honoured to be one of the three winners of the Spark Award in British Columbia. For the prize, we’ll receive $3000, mentorship from Michelle Ng of Granville Island Delivery and Vancouver Foodie Tours, and additional partner support to help us turn our idea into reality. We are grateful to Tourism Innovation Lab, Destination BC, and all the other partners and mentors who made this possible.

We are also proud to be recognized as an award-winning tourism business by TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel platform. And so we have received the Travelers’ Choice Award for 2023. This means we are among the top 10% of TripAdvisor listings with remarkable hospitality and unforgettable experiences.
